How to Cook a Whole fish

This is such an easy way to add more seafood to your diet. It’s also very easy and makes a great weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • Whole fish (I prefer wild caught red snapper or arctic char from Whole Foods)

  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil

  • 8 sprigs of fresh thyme

  • 1 lemon sliced

  • 2 cloves of garlic pressed or minced

  • Salt and pepper according to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 410 degrees

  2. Wash fish and pat dry

  3. Grease pan and rub down fish with avocado oil

  4. Stuff inside with lemon slices, garlic, thyme, salt and pepper

  5. Cover outside with salt and pepper

  6. Bake for 18-25 minutes depending on size of fish. Internal temperature should be 145 degrees. I like this thermometer best.

This recipe pairs great with our Smashed Potatoes with Olives recipe.
