Sanitas Monthly Challenge for March: Burpees

But first! The results of the February Sanitas Pull-Up Challenge. You all racked up as many reps as possible through the month of February, but there can be only one (highlander) on top! Congratulations to Meg Tufo for racking up the most amount of reps during the challenge and staying the most consistent throughout the month!! A special shoutout to Westward Lang for giving her a run for her money as these two ran away with the challenge.

Now for our next monthly challenge — it’s the month of burpees!

DO I NEED TO REGISTER?

Nope!

OKAY, SO HOW DO I PARTICIPATE THEN?

Every day during the month of March, there will be a specific workout added to the end of each Main WOD that will be all about the burpees. Examples are “Death by Burpees” or EMOM until failure 10 Burpee Box Jump Overs. If you follow along and try to hit at least 4 days of a burpee workout during the challenge you will no doubt see a huge performance increase in your overall capacity.

WHAT’S THE GOAL?

The goal of this challenge is to accumulate as many reps as possible within the confines of the workouts and accessory lifts prescribed. The goal of this challenge is to get you faster and more efficient at burpees specifically, as well as improve your overall work capacity. During this challenge, focus on the workouts we’ve written, as doing too much too fast can yield to repetitive stress in the ligaments and joints.

CAN I START ANYTIME?

Yup! Start any time during the month. Since the goal is just to accumulate the most reps, it doesn’t matter when you start. But the sooner the better!

HOW DO I TRACK MY SCORE?

Each day in Wodify, you’ll see a section to post your scores labeled “Sanitas Burpee Challenge March 1”, “…March 2” “…March 3” etc. Log your results here or else they will not count in the challenge! If you’re doing something other than what’s suggested, still record your reps there

*Note* You must hit the RX button for your score to show up on the leaderboard. Even if you did not RX what’s written, hit the button anyway.

HOW DO I WIN?

The athlete with the most reps logged in Wodify between March 1st – March 31st will be the winner! For this challenge, the winner gets a free 60-minute massage!
