This gym and community have been the absolute highlight of our time in Colorado so far. We travel for work so we’ve been to multiple Crossfit boxes across the US. Of the 12 gyms we’ve tried, nothing comes close to Sanitas. EVERY ONE of the coaches is top notch – they take their role seriously, they demo every move, they explain the goal of each exercise, they provide tons of personalized guidance, they focus of great form and safety first, they know everyone’s names, and they always find ways to make the workouts fun. They have one or more daycare options every day and our two girls (4 and 2 years old) now look forward to Crossfit almost as much as going to the park or pool.

I could barely do a pull up when I started, now I do 30 with ease as a warm-up. I’ve also seen a huge change in my physical appearance, not to mention the level of confidence I carry day in-day out. I don’t envision any scenario in which I will go back a regular gym.

Just wanted to let you know that it’s working! Last weekend while skiing Mary Jane’s mogul runs all day, I was able to double the distance I could go before stopping to huff-puff-rest-rest. To be able to do Needle’s Eye with only one rest is a great thing at age 57!

I’ve been going to Sanitas for almost three years now, and can’t say enough good things about it. The coaches are top-notch, stay focused on form and doing movements correctly, and encourage members to push themselves past limits in a safe and supportive environment. And to top it off, the gym itself is beautiful, and the amenities like childcare, locker rooms, and the plunge pool are great perks. Going to this gym regularly has helped me get in the best shape I’ve been in in years, and made me better able to enjoy all the hiking/skiing/biking and other outdoor activities that are why most of us love Colorado.

The fact that I had never done crossfit and was grossly out of shape simply didn’t matter to the team of expert coaches. They treat everyone as an individual, they listen, advise, follow up and encourage you every step of the way.
In 8 months I have lost 40lbs, gone down at least 2 sizes (maybe 3 due to previous size denial) lost body fat and participated 100% in a 30 day Clean Eating competition. I have never done nor wanted to do a “diet” and now I can’t wait until the next one in January.

Sanitas is unique. Instructors are knowable. Members are consistent with very low attrition. The owners understand the importance of the customer, and by the enthusiastic atmosphere and approach to classes the employees are treated right. Sanitas is a fun place to workout and hangout.

Crossfit Sanitas is the best workout EVER! I have been religiously WODing for 2 years with the Sanitas crew – the coaches are focused, creative and patient. The workouts are varied and the community is amazingly supportive. People of all ages (I’m 50) and sizes work out together and cheer each other on…always striving for their PRs.

Phenomenal coaches, supportive community and lots of specialty classes in addition to the main WODs. The programming is challenging yet accessible, so any athlete at any level can reach their goals. Those at Crossfit Sanitas have been awesome at cheering me on and having me feel welcome, even though I haven’t been able to participate in the WODs (Workout Of the Day) due to an injury. I travel frequently for work and have visited at least 10-15 different CrossFit facilities across the country, even a few internationally. I can say, hands down, that CrossFit Sanitas ranks at the top of my list. The facility itself is clean, spacious, and up-to-date. The community is warm, welcoming, and serious about getting fit. What makes Sanitas superior to the majority of other boxes, however, are the programming and the staff. WODs are always varied and comprehensive. Every coach at Sanitas is extremely well trained; each is tuned in and very attentive to the individual needs of every athlete. Five stars for CrossFit Sanitas!

Since starting at CrossFit Sanitas, I have made huge gains in my fitness, strength, and self confidence. The coaching staff at CF Sanitas is the best I’ve had in my athletic career. They have helped me to push myself to be the greatest athlete I can be while keeping a priority on safety and technique. They understand that everybody is different and do a great job at catering to individuals strengths and weaknesses. The cold tub and onsite massages are also some of the great amenities that the box offers to its athletes. The community at CF Sanitas is awesome and keeps me motivated day in and day out.

Sanitas is not some garage-sized, dimly-lit crossfit box tucked away amidst some warehouses outside of town like most seem to be. Rather, the 10,000+ square foot facility is located in the center of Boulder stocked with all the toys you’d want, and then some. The best aspects of Sanitas are the friendly and uber-knowledgeable coaches and the tight-knit community atmosphere. Sanitas coaches are constantly engaged in making sure each movement is completed with proper form and technique. I also immediately realized I could never go back to a traditional gym again due to the fact that I would never get as good a workout there as I would at Sanitas. There’s no doubt I’m stronger, leaner, and in the best shape of my life since I’ve been here. Joining Sanitas was probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

After evaluating the various CrossFit options in Boulder, Sanitas topped the list for a variety of reasons, including their central Boulder location close to CU, excellent facilities and good coaching. The vibe at Sanitas is very positive, and their members comprise the full range of athletic ability from hard-core fire-breathers to folks who are new to fitness and are looking to improve their overall health. All are welcome, and going to the gym has become an enjoyable, sociable and productive experience!
During my first 6 months at Sanitas, I have achieved significant gains in strength and overall well-being, including higher energy and leaner body composition. A stallion of athletic man-granite has begun to emerge from what was once a delicious jelly doughnut.

I walked in an out of shape but determined athlete and the coaching staff has helped me improve my skill level and fitness level to levels beyond my wildest dreams. I have been to a half dozen other gyms in Colorado and elsewhere, and without even factoring in the facility itself the coaching at Sanitas is second to none. They assure safety with every workout. Classes have a good coach to athlete ratio and feedback is plentiful. The daily WODS are always unique and build on each other. The strength, olympic lifting, and mobility classes all provide additional avenues to get more out of your gym membership.
By far the best part of CrossFit Sanitas is the coaching staff. The staff are enthusiastic about sharing CrossFit with athletes and are very approachable outside of class.

Prior to CrossFit I was an endurance junkie. I competed in triathlons in undergrad spending about 15 hours/wk training. I was also doing yoga and playing pick up soccer. I loved it, but it was also exhausting and I was plagued by all sorts of minor injuries. Plantar fasciitis, IT Band Syndrome, lower back pain, turf toe, knee pain, etc. Joining CrossFit Sanitas was one of the best decisions I have made for my body. I love how I am PRing on a regular basis. Most of all I love how it has brought fun back into my exercise regime.
I really loved the ongoing discussion on the importance of nutrition at CrossFit Sanitas and the emphasis on getting stronger rather than losing weight. Having struggled with body image/weight for my whole life, this approach helped me develop a much healthier relationship with my body than I used to.
The coaches and owners have created such a great community that exudes so much positive energy. Being new in Boulder, CrossFit Sanitas was a fantastic way of getting to know people who I had things in common with. The coaches and athletes were all SO welcoming and encouraging. I never felt like I was being judged or that I wasn’t up to par.

In 4 months, I already am seeing drastic results in my overall health, and body, energy level (and with being a nanny to 4 kiddos, I need much of it :)). This month, Crossfit Sanitas is doing a 30 day paleo challenge, and 24 days in, I am in the best shape and health I’ve ever been in. I love working out there, the coaches are excellent, the equipment and facility is top knotch, and I look forward to going in every day. I would definitely recommend giving Crossfit Sanitas a try, you wont be disappointed.

I was very impressed by the level of coaching and the community that CrossFit Sanitas has. If you’ve never done CrossFit before, the variety in the workouts is great, especially if you are someone who gets bored easily. Each workout has a warm up, overview of the skills needed for the workout and the workout. Afterwards there is a cool down and recovery. The coaches are very attentive to make sure your form is good. The facility is amazing – big, bright and lots of natural light. As it’s new, so is all the equipment. It’s a great place to come and workout and I look forward to it every day.
