What Would You Do for a Muscle-Up? Anything? Anything.

One of the most fundamental aspects of developing your fitness is the building of body awareness: the understanding of what the body is doing from fingertips to toes, whether the body is upright, inverted or somewhere in between. It’s about being able to control your body rather than having your body control you.

Over the next three months, we’ll be running three 4-week programs focusing on the more advanced gymnastics skills:

  • December – Muscle-Ups (ring and bar)
  • January – Handstands (push-ups and walks)
  • February – Pull-ups (chest-to-bar and butterfly)

These programs will be focused on specific skillsets along with the foundational strength and stability work required to own the necessary positions and move with quality & efficiency.

The CrossFit Open is notorious for being heavy on muscle-ups, chest to bar pull-ups and handstand push-ups, so for the next few months, this will be our focus!

The Focus: Muscle-Ups, Bar & Ring

The Prerequisites: 3 strict pull-ups & 3 strict dips

The Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7:30am led by Coach Elisa

The Cost: $50 for 4 weeks, 8 sessions total (~$6/class)
