February Sanitas Pull-Up Challenge: What You Need to Know

But first! The results of the January Sanitas Cardio Challenge. You all racked up as many calories as possible through the month of January, but there can be only one (highlander) on top! Congratulations to Matthew Gerke, racking up 8675 calories on the rower, ski erg, and Airdyne. Matt gets a free massage for his badass effort!

Nope!

OKAY, SO HOW DO I PARTICIPATE THEN?

Every day during the month of February, there will be an additional workout posted below the WOD in Wodify. This workout will focus on strict puling strength and will be either strict pull-ups, ring rows, and/or accessory movements. These workouts will help to increase general pulling strength and create healthier, stronger shoulders.

WHAT’S THE GOAL?

The goal of this challenge is to accumulate as many reps as possible within the confines of the workouts and accessory lifts prescribed. The goal of this challenge is to get your first strict pull-up or increase max strict pull-ups, as well as improve the overall structural stability of the shoulders and upper back. During this challenge, focus on the workouts we’ve written, as doing too much too fast can yield to repetitive stress in the ligaments and joints.

CAN I START ANYTIME?

Yup! Start any time during the month. Since the goal is just to accumulate the most reps, it doesn’t matter when you start. But the sooner the better!

HOW DO I TRACK MY SCORE?

Each day in Wodify, you’ll see a section to post your scores labeled “Sanitas Pull-Up Challenge Feb 1”, “…Feb 2” “…Feb 3” etc. Log your results here or else they will not count in the challenge! If you’re doing something other than what’s suggested, still record your reps there

*Note* You must hit the RX button for your score to show up on the leaderboard. Even if you did not RX what’s written, hit the button anyway.

HOW DO I WIN?

The athlete with the most reps logged in Wodify between Feb 1 – Feb 28 will be the winner! For this challenge, the winner gets a free 60-minute massage!
