Build the Strength and Skills for Handstand Walking & Handstand Push-Ups

After a very successful 4-week muscle-up class series that got many people their first muscle-up on both the rings and bar, it’s time to get inverted and work on handstand push-ups and handstand walks!

One of the most fundamental aspects of developing your fitness is the building of body awareness: the understanding of what the body is doing from fingertips to toes, whether the body is upright, inverted or somewhere in between. It’s about being able to control your body rather than having your body control you.

The CrossFit Open is notorious for being heavy on muscle-ups, chest to bar pull-ups and handstand push-ups, so for the next few months, this will be our focus!

Next month, our focus will be:

  • February – Pull-ups (chest-to-bar and butterfly)

This series begins January 9

The Focus: Handstand Walking & Handstand Push-Ups

The Prerequisites: 30 sec handstand hold against wall & 2 HSPU (kipping okay, strict ideal)

The Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7:30am led by Coach Elisa

The Cost: $50 for 4 weeks, 8 sessions total (~$6/class)
